Kaweco/XERION Combination Tanker
Our Kaweco/XERION combination tanker was the first of its kind to be operated within the UK. Despite its size, the Kaweco can be operated on grassland and stubble to standing crop with minimal damage thanks to some clever Dutch engineering and low ground pressure tyres. Fitted with a 30m Vogelsang boom, the Kaweco is capable of spreading at 24m, 17m and 30m tramlines.
The Kaweco is unique with a three compartment tank to keep the weight transfer onto the tractor for maximum stability and traction when working in the field. It does this by keeping the front compartment full until the other two tanks are empty. Fitted with a large capacity and highly efficient Borger rotary lobe pump, we are able to meter the liquid as it is spread as every revolution is a precise volume of liquid. The Kaweco comes complete with a turbo arm to boost the filling to feed the pump efficiently, enabling it to load the 24m³ tank in just under three minutes.
There are four methods of slurry application when using the Kaweco/XERION combination tanker:
- A 15m Bomec Trailing Shoe for applications to standing arable crops, reducing the need for as much bagged fertiliser
- The UK's first 30m and 32m Vogelsang dribble bar which means slurry can be applied at 24m, 27m, 30m and 32m tramlines in growing crop, allowing for plenty of flexibility to suit your cropping requirements
- A 6m cultivator to apply to stubble post-harvest to replenish nutrient levels in the soil
- A 7.2m Injector which is used mainly on grassland and stubbles prior to cultivation
Unlike other tankers on the market, neither the Kaweco nor the SGT Saddletrac relies on a vacuum pump and the rate of application can be varied from the operator's seat. As the machine is steered by a GPS system; overlap is also minimised.
